Express Prototyping can work with various file formats in order to deliver a protoype of the highest quality.

• .STL - Prototype model data is accepted in .STL file format, which is the standard format for monochrome files, this format is usually available from all major 3D CAD software packages. We have the ability to check your Models for any errors prior to manufacturing the part. We will either report the errors back to you, or as an additional service, we can often fix most of the common errors.
• IGES - We can also accept IGES format, which we can then convert into the STL format as an additional service.
• PLY - Import basic part colour data from CAD software packages.
• VRML - Includes texture map import capabilities which are useful for colour scan data, FEA data and colour assemblies.
• We can also accept the following Native CAD files prior to generation of the STL file:
  - Pro-Engineer Parts or Assemblies - .PRT or .ASM file extension
  - Autocad Inventor Parts or Assemblies - .IPT or .IAM file extension.
